Stanlee Gatti, event planner extraordinaire, has entrusted Elixir with the invitations and collateral for dozens of galas and other parties/celebrations over the years. When he decided to open a gem of a corner store in San Francisco, Elixir’s privilege was to brew up an identity that echoes Stanlee’s ethos: to create beauty in all things. The Greek word meraki carries the notion of making something for another person with great care. Elixir designed materials to complement the market’s exquisite prepared foods and its dazzling array of packaged accompaniments, all served up with an innate sense of hospitality.

Salume-colored terrazzo tile was the starting point for the palette.

Meraki is in an iconic little building on Post Street with what appears to be a smokestack in back. (The smoke stack is not actually connected to the building in real life.) Stanlee’s preferred mode of transport is a Vespa which is parked permanently out front in the logo.
