Designing for designers affords joy. Douglas Durkin and his team create beautiful homes that enhance the lives of those who inhabit them. The established San Francisco based interior design firm has no need for marketing and rarely publishes work. The primary objective for the new website is to attract design talent — without revealing interiors out of respect for client privacy.

Specifying color, size and placement — things that seem easy — are anything but. Therefore the challenge of making a website that embodies DDD’s level of craftsmanship was inspiring.

Making a digital experience that’s this simple requires patient collaboration (aka a whole lot of nitpicking) between designer and developer.
