Elixir lives in a black house that looks a bit like a Transylvanian chalet. We have inlaid floors that we excavated beneath white shag carpeting and layers of linoleum.
We share offices. We encourage autonomy. We welcome pets. We use our 17-ft. long corkboard and 8-ft. long chalkboard for brandstorming almost every day. We acquire a lot of cool stuff, and the studio can often get a bit messy. Our creative process is rarely pristine.
We celebrate the Summer Solstice. We aspire to come up with our holiday gift in June, with an eye to delighting our clients and friends. In December, the gift proves to be rather labor-intensive to wrap and mail. We delight in the details.
We hand dip our business cards. We’ve been doing this for over fifteen years. Each card is one of a kind – and a mini-metaphor. The firm’s name is blind embossed. It has no color, but you can see and feel it. So, we are visible yet invisible – it’s the solution that you see. On the back of each card, floating in space, are the names of everyone at Elixir. Your own name is bolded, and you are surrounded by your colleagues. (We could say they have your back.) We believe our collaboration is essential to how we do what we do.
